In 2016, we completed the Sundrop Farms greenhouse, a $150 million project in South Australia.
We collaborated with Van Der Hoeven, Aalborg CSP and John Holland Group to complete the massive 20 Ha greenhouse and 15 Ha solar field investment. Our role was focused on project management, commissioning, electrical and mechanical installation, rigorous equipment and installation testing, and supervision of local contractors. Sundrop Farm’s greenhouse has been hailed as a unique project, as it uses a sustainable energy mix to produce over 17.000 tons of truss tomatoes. The site features solar power generation, a desalination system and water cooling with sea water, and has allowed Sundrop to be awarded multiple times for its sustainable practices.
